Aggravation of the situation in Pishporo, fire brigades go to the scene

Fires are still active in the forest massif of the protected area in Pishporo. Currently, there are about 30 fires active on the ground, for the neutralization of which 8 fire engines, the effectives of the armed forces, the Adzm forces, 50 support forces of the municipality of di and two bulldozers, of which 1 of the Armed Forces and 1 of the municipality who are opening the roads in the dense forest to enable the intervention of operational forces.

According to the prefect Lefter Shehaj, the foci continue to be active, with lower intensity during the afternoon hours, while they are reactivated from time to time favored by the strong wind, spreading to different areas according to the direction of the wind.

According to prefect Shehaj, thanks to the commitment of operational structures, the protection of housing, economic units, plots with orchards and olive groves on the border of the forest area has been ensured, while the massive fire of 5 days has been considered an environmental disaster not only because of the considerable area described from fires, but also for environmental pollution in the entire area covered by smoke for 5 days.
