Heavy! The 59-year-old dies after being stung by a swarm of bees

A 59-year-old man died as a result of being stung by a colony of bees. The victim was on the porch of his Kentucky home when he was attacked by bees.

Investigations into the case are continuing, while it remains unclear whether the man was allergic to bees.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture, the average person can handle up to 10 bites per pound of body weight.

While attacks by swarms of bees are rare, cases have become frequent in recent years.

In 2016, a 23-year-old hiker died after being stung more than 1,000 times in an Arizona park.

Earlier this year, a photographer in Arizona experienced a nightmare when a swarm of bees stung a woman more than 75 times. In May, an 81-year-old man in Oklahoma survived an attack by killer bees for three hours.
