Four employees of the Regional Directorate of Road Transport Service, Fier, have been suspended from their duties and two business owners have been arrested after providing drivers with fake window tinting certificates.

The police informs that within the coded police operation "Kolaudimi", the security measures "Arrest in prison" were executed for "VD, 29 years old and Xh. A., 32 years old, both residents of Fier, for the criminal offense "Forgery of documents".

Also, as part of this operation, the security measures "Suspension of exercising a duty or public service" were executed for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", for the employees: RS, 32 years old, IN, 45 years old, MM, 39 years old and D. Xh., 34 years old, all four residents of Fier.

From the investigative actions carried out, it turned out that the citizens VD and Xh. A., through the relevant businesses, provided vehicle drivers with fake window tinting certificates, while 4 suspended employees of the Fier Regional Directorate of Road Transport Service, allegedly knowing about the falsity of these certificates, rated the vehicles as regular, during the checks they carried out, at the inspection points, in Fier and Lushnja.
