Investigative journalist Artan Hoxha has provided new details regarding the arrest of the former mayor of Durrës Vangjush Dako.

Invited to "Opinion", Hoxha said that the arrest warrant for Dako was issued on Friday at dinner, but it was executed only on Tuesday.

Asked why the execution of SPAK's order took so many days, Hoxha said that negotiations have taken place.

According to him, during these days there has been a strong battle between political actors and SPAK prosecutors for not arresting Dako.

Hoxha: I was informed about the cutting of the arrest warrant on Friday evening. The most important character with political and economic influence, more important than the ministers. Vangjush Dako is the most insignificant man of all. When the decision was given in 2019 for Dako, I said that it was a message for him up there. He ran the third most important District of the country. Dako in Durrës was not just the mayor, he is the person who was the contact of all interest lobbies in Durrës.
