The court case of the incinerators of Fier and Elbasan is expected to receive final decisions soon. Yesterday, the defense of the defendant company "Albtek Energy" sh.pk regarding the corruption affair of Elbasan was closed. After that, the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) decided that on October 5, at 1:00 p.m., the final decision will be given for the murderer of Elbasan. Yesterday, the former Minister of the Environment, Lefter Koka, who is one of the defendants in both the cases of Elbasan and Fier, presented through his lawyer a medical report to be considered by the court. For the Elbasan incinerator, 10 defendants have been charged and the trial started on February 21 of this year. The defendants are charged with 4 charges: "Abuse of duty", "Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials" and "Cleaning of proceeds of criminal offense or criminal activity". The object of the investigation was the actions performed for the procedure followed for the conclusion of the concession contract "Construction and administration of the urban waste treatment plant of the Elbasan District, for the production of energy" as well as the actions performed during the implementation phase of this contract. concession, contract concluded between the Ministry of the Environment and the commercial company "Albtek Energy" sh.pk. "Albtek Energy" rejects the accusation of corruption for the Elbasan incinerator.
The defense party of the company "Albtek Energy" sh.pk rejected the accusation of corruption by SPAK, with the claim that the employees were paid and the Elbasan incinerator was built. The lawyer of the company has emphasized that the principle of res judicata has been violated, due to the decision of the Court of Elbasan that dismissed the case.

The claim of SPAK with 38 years in prison for 9 of the 10 defendants
SPAK demanded that former minister Koka be sentenced to 10 years in prison, but from the shortened trial he can be sentenced to 6 years and 8 months in prison. A similar term of imprisonment was requested for the 2 incinerator businessmen who are on the run, Mirel Mërtiri and Klodian Zoto. 7 years in prison (4.8 years with shortened trial) were requested for the businesswoman Stela Gugallja. Meanwhile, for 5 defendants, SPAK asked for 4 years in prison for each (2.8 with shortened trial). They are: Alqi Blako, former Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Pëllbum Abeshi, former Mayor of the Expropriation Commission and General Director in the Ministry of Environment; Jonida Zeqo, former member of the Commission for granting the concession from the Ministry of Environment; Bardhyl Çabiri, former/member of the commission for granting the concession as a representative of the municipality of Elbasan and Serafin Papa- former/representative of the Municipality of Elbasan.

The murder of Martin Çeço, the Korça Prosecutor's Office closes the investigation, 4 defendants
The Prosecutor's Office of Korça closed the investigation into the terrible murder of Martin Çeço, the 26-year-old from the village of Kolanec, which happened in June 2022. After 14 months of continuous investigations, the prosecution decided to charge 4 people, Valter Mollaj, Edlir Mollaj, Martina Pajollari and Bleti Angjo for committing the criminal offense "Murder with premeditation, carried out in cooperation". The 26-year-old, who was hanged with a rope by the 2 cousins ??Mollaj and the shepherd Angjo, had asked for an intimate relationship with Pajollari, who was related to Valter Mollaj. What is more shocking is the fact that Pajollari was a witness at the moment when Çeço was killed. The killers threw the victim's body into a reservoir in the village of Kolanec and left his slippers far from the reservoir to create the impression that Martin Çeço had committed suicide. The expertise found that the young man had a black line around his neck, which raised suspicions of murder. It was shepherd Angjo who revealed the whole incident after the arrest. Pajollari told her partner Valter Mollaj that Martin Çeço forced her to stay with him, against her will. If convicted, the defendants face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
