Inspector Edlir Alleshi, part of the patrol of the "Eagle" forces, passed the danger to his life after being injured last night while on duty.

During the evening, the officer underwent a medical intervention after the bullet in the abdomen area had affected several organs. Today he is in the ward of the trauma hospital where he was visited by colleagues and relatives who said that his condition has stabilized.

The incident was recorded yesterday in the Oxhak area in the capital, where two patrols found a suspicious person and asked him to stop for a physical check after receiving reports that he was dangerous.

When he asked him to stop, he did not obey and ran away forcing the police to chase him. In order to lose his tracks, he responded with a gun, which caused the operation to be interrupted. Afterwards, the film footage in the area was collected and it became possible to identify the author, Klerent Bozhanaj, who does not have a previous criminal record. He was an immigrant in Italy and returned last month to Tirana.

Meanwhile, his family members were accompanied to the police in order to surrender or provide valuable information. They have shown that he has recently shown signs of depression, but has not received medical help for the problems he has displayed. By means of an announcement, the police yesterday made available 20,000 euros for anyone who sees it to notify the police at the number 112 for any valid information and not to take any action against it.
