During an operation, the Greek police seized two amounts of cannabis, one with 77 kg and the other with 300 kg, in the border area between Greece and Albania.
According to the Greek police, in the first operation carried out in the border area near Qaf Bota in Igoumenica, the police arrested an Albanian citizen after the amount of 77 kg of cannabis sativa was found in his vehicle with Greek license plates.
Asked by the agents, he admitted that he would send the narcotics to Athens, where he would be paid for its transportation.
The police say that the value of the drugs is calculated at more than 190,000 euros.
While another amount of 300 kg of cannabis was found in the border area in the Kozan region.
According to the local police, the amount of drugs was hidden in a pickup truck which was stolen in the Athens area. Its driver was able to leave as soon as he noticed that he was being followed by police agents.
It is learned that it has become possible to identify him from the fingerprints left in the car, and it is about an Albanian citizen with previous criminal records.
Agents are working to arrest him and unravel the narcotics trafficking scheme.
