The electrical engineer, Azmer Dulevi?, comments on the water situation in the country and says that the rains of the last few days have had the effect of slightly increasing the level and flows in the three main hydropower plants.

In a connection with the MCN news studio, Dulevic said that from the data provided by KESH, it is shown that we have an improvement, however small, which increased the production in the three main hydropower plants in the country.

According to him, the quotas are far from the levels they should be, so that the energy production in these three hydropower plants is maximum.

"The three hydropower plants produce an average of 17,000 megawatt hours. Undoubtedly, from today the restrictions have started in Kosovo, and it is expected that the situation will be more severe in the coming days, as we are still in August, imagine what will happen in autumn.

Currently, the situation in our country is better, but it is impossible to predict whether we will be better or worse. Based on Rama's statements, in the fall we will be in an energy crisis, where I believe that we will have power outages in certain areas", said the engineer.

Regarding the government's calls for citizens to become aware and reduce energy consumption without criteria, he stated that in times of crisis, anything proposed is a solution.

"But the government should also have awareness campaigns through the media. Publicity measures should also be taken in the media, on how to save energy. Citizens should be informed in what way they should save, so that the situation does not degrade or worsen in the fall to we run out of energy and go to the generators.

From the average of the first and second week of August, 3.1 million euros of electricity from abroad is purchased.

A large amount is bought per day, which burdens the taxes of Albanians. Currently, the three main hydropower plants produce 17,000 megawatt hours per day. The demand for electricity is 19 thousand, 2 thousand are purchased. I'm talking about the 3 largest hydropower plants in the country, not including the private ones. Domestic production is about 55% of the need for energy and the rest we import, we buy from abroad", Dulevi? emphasized.
