How is the condition of Vangjush Dako? His lawyer is surprised by the answer

Vangjush Dako's lawyer, Petrit Ismaili, gave a statement to the media. He has revealed that he was the one who informed Dako about the existence of an arrest warrant, while they further informed the authorities about the location of Dako, who was then in Tirana.

"At the time of the arrest, I am the one who notified the police after the news from the media about Dako's location. Dako has been in Tirana. When we saw that there is a security measure, we notified the authorities who came and executed the order, under the conditions of self-surrender.

Further, he indicated that Dako is ready to face justice.

'He is self-centered. He has been in contact with the authorities, he has given all the necessary clarifications, it is about collegial decisions. It is a building with permission. I don't believe there is a single square meter off-limits. He is ready to face justice. He has no health problems, normally stress is the emotional part.'

The former mayor of the municipality of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, has surrendered to SPAK after the arrest warrant issued in connection with the charges against him for abuse of office and falsification of documents for a construction permit granted 11 years ago and for a tender from 2014-2015 which has caused a damage of 180 million ALL to the state budget. SPAK has also issued 9 arrest warrants for 9 former officials of the municipality of Durrës who are suspected to have been involved in corruption, abuse of office and falsification of documents. For 6 of them SPAK has ordered prison arrest, while for 3 of them, women, house arrest measures have been left in force.
