Tensions in the north, the well-known diplomat comes out with an urgent appeal to Kurti: Make public the list of Serbian agents infiltrated in Kosovo

The career diplomat, the former ambassador of Albania in Kosovo and North Macedonia, Arben Çejku, in an interview for the media in Kosovo, spoke about the tense situation in the North, the reaction from Tirana and the relations between Kosovo and the United States of America.

Çejku said that Albania has been and will always be close to follow all the successes of Kosovo as well as the recent situation created in its north.

He said that Tirana sees the recent situation in Kosovo from four perspectives, as a national feeling, as a neighboring country, from a regional and western perspective as well as in terms of the security situation.

"All these years, Albania is there to follow the steps and successes of Kosovo, as a new state, but, on the other hand, this concern and these types of development that are not positive for Kosovo, such as the recent events in the north of and of course Albania looks at this from several perspectives, first of all it sees it as a national feeling that unites in these issues, secondly as a neighboring country with which we share many common collaborations, thirdly from a regional, western perspective". he declared.

According to him, the six countries of the Western Balkans are involved in a joint integration process and in this direction Albania wants to have Kosovo and travel with Kosovo at the same pace as it is with North Macedonia.

"...and lastly from the security point of view, Albania as a member country in NATO certainly shared its concern about the security of Kosovo, which of course sometimes has connotations of timidity for the destabilization of this part of the Balkans and why not realism of some of Russia's dark agendas in the Western Balkans", Cheik said.

The Albanian diplomat said that if the government of Kosovo has a list of identified persons of agents infiltrated by Serbia in the territory of Kosovo, it should make it public.

According to him, the government of Kosovo should ask the international factor to call on Serbia to withdraw from the north of the country.

During the interview, he emphasized that it is intolerable for criminal gangs from Serbia to enter the north, under the direction of its secret services.

“Ka pasur një thirrje të vazhdueshme të faktorit ndërkombëtarë drejtuar qeverisë Kurti për të bërë hap mbrapa dhe të ndihmuar në stabilizimin e kësaj situate duke marr vendimin adekuate për katër kryetarët e komunave të veriut. Sipas tij “nëse Qeveria e Kosovës ka një listë të këtyre personave të identifikuar si zyrtarë të sigurisë së Serbisë që kanë hyrë në territorin e Kosovës në veriun e saj dhe kanë bërë inkuzione duke sulmuar trupat e KFOR-it, duke sulmuar Policinë e Kosovës, qytetarë dhe gazetarë, mendoj që duhet ta bëj publike këtë listë dhe t’i kërkojë faktorit ndërkombëtarë që t’i thotë drejtpërdrejtë Serbisë që të tërhiqet dhe të ndalojë provokimet e saj në veri”, ka thënë Çejku.
