The Tirana Court changes the security measure for the former General Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Arlind Gjokutaj. From "House Arrest", it has been decided that the investigations will continue in "Compulsion to appear".
Gjokutaj is accused by the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana of abuse of office related to the compensation procedures of a property worth about 1.2 million euros. After the arrest, Gjokutaj was hospitalized due to his health condition, while the Appeal of Tirana changed the measure from "Prison Arrest" to "House Arrest".
Meanwhile, Alban Ruli, private bailiff, and Fatmir Hoxha, legal director at the Ministry of Finance, continue to remain under "house arrest". Investigations on this matter are nearing completion and it is expected that the file will be transferred with the request for trial to the First Instance.
