A 56-year-old Albanian, who was caught driving a truck with 43 kg of cocaine in Italy in 2020, was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
The judge's decision came on the morning of September 28. The Albanian was accused of having transported the "precious" cargo from Belgium to Piacenza, passing through Susa where it was checked for the first time (the truck was kept under control).
Along with him, another Albanian is accused, who was sentenced earlier to 10 years in prison with a shortened trial.
The lawyer of the 56-year-old Albanian said that they will appeal the decision.
