The court of Tirana has sentenced to 7 years and 9 months in prison the former officer of the RENEA forces Remal Rada, who was caught with a sniper in the car a year ago in the roundabout of Sauk.
While Elton Hikthi, who was in the vehicle with the former RENEA officer, was sentenced to 5 years. They will benefit from a reduction of the sentence by one third after being tried with a summary trial.
The former officer of the RENEA Forces, Rada, was arrested on July 26, together with 28-year-old Elton Hithi, after a sniper rifle, modified for shooting at a distance of up to 2 thousand meters, was found in the car.
Rada had left RENEA, while not many had returned from England. During the search of his apartment, a pistol, two night binoculars, military ammunition (an automatic weapon magazine, 2 pistol combs) were found.
