Russia has been engulfed in chaos as large numbers of citizens continue to try to leave the country since President Putin announced the mobilization of at least 300,000 additional troops last Wednesday.

The BBC's correspondent in Tbilisi, Rayhan Demytrie, said there is a queue about ten kilometers long at the border between Georgia and Russia as men try to avoid conscription.

He said movement was very slow and some people had waited more than 20 hours to cross the border.
