France was rocked yesterday by a knife attack on a group of children in the town of Annecy.
An armed Syrian migrant attacked a group of preschool children playing near a lake in the French Alps. As a result of the attack, 4 children and an adult were injured.
Former Liverpool footballer Anthony Le Tallec has witnessed moments of horror. In a statement given on social networks, Tallec said that he was in the park to run and described Thursday as the worst day of his life.
"I can't stop thinking about the families affected by this dramatic event," Le Tallec wrote on Twitter.
In a post on Twitter, he adds that he was in a "state of shock" as he had just had a "face-to-face with death".
"I want to say that the police pursued the attacker very bravely and did everything possible to protect people... I'm not questioning their courage," said the former footballer.
