Supplying Ukraine with F-16 aircraft, Minister Lavrov threatens the West: He is playing with fire

Russia's top diplomat warned Western countries that they are "playing with fire" after agreeing to provide Ukraine with American-made F-16 fighter jets.
The Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, said that this decision is an escalation of the conflict.

"Undoubtedly, they are playing with fire," Lavrov said during an interview with Russian television, which was published on social networks.

Recently, the United States has agreed to train Ukrainian pilots for the F-16 jets. However, Washington has not indicated whether it will send these types of aircraft to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, other countries, including NATO, have offered to train Ukrainian pilots to operate the F-16.
Since the start of the invasion by Russia in February of last year, Ukraine has asked its allies to send sophisticated aircraft.

With this decision, the administration of the American president, Joe Biden, has made a U-turn, since for more than a year it has refused to approve the sending of planes or the training of pilots for fear that something like this could escalate tensions with Russia.
