Porsche recently celebrated its 75th anniversary by launching a spectacular new £2m supercar. Dubbed the Mission X, the two-seater Porsche can reach up to 200 miles per hour and go from 0 to 62 mph in less than two seconds, claiming the title of the world's fastest car.
Porsche has even subtly changed its horse badge to commemorate the anniversary. Engineers are working on a fast charging mode that will see it charged to 80% in less than ten minutes, or twice as fast as the 18 minutes taken by a Taycan Turbo S.
Many experts after seeing the car said it is the electric car of dreams, with Porsche expected to go into production as a limited edition aimed at super-rich enthusiasts and collectors. It was Porsche bosses themselves who unveiled the new car at a star-studded party at their headquarters in Zuffenhausen near Stuttgart. The new car marks the German performance maker's ambitions for its 21st century electric future and aims to show how Porsche will combine big power with lightweight construction.
