The Russian model lost her life a few weeks after calling President Vladimir Putin "psychopath and warmonger" in posts on social networks.
Her ex-boyfriend had stuffed Gretta's body in a suitcase and admitted to the crime recently after it was discovered by the authorities.
He had taken out a loan in the victim's name using a banking app on her mobile phone while he slept with her body in the hotel for three days.
He then brought a suitcase to put the body in and drove 400 km away to Lipstik where he left it in the trunk.
Footage released by Russian police showed the suspect re-enacting the scene of the murder, when he pushed her into a hotel bed and strangled her.
The model's death gained attention after she predicted the fight to expand Russia's territorial integrity.
The girl had said on social networks: "Putin has problems because he can't protect himself due to his small body mass, that's why he left law and entered the KGB school."
She added to her followers: "For psychopaths, a sense of fulfillment is important, they adore risk, intense experiences and dynamic life."
