The Russian missile hits Ukraine, the well-known journalist recounts the experience: It was a giant explosion

A CNN reporter recounted the moment Russian missiles hit the area in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorks on Thursday, killing at least three people. The team had just arrived in the area where after parking their vehicle they found themselves in front of a Russian attack that hit the building in front of them. 

"The rocket fell at least 40 or 50 meters away from where we were. It was a giant explosion," CNN's Fred Pleitgen said.

They hurried to get to a safe place together with many local people. "As we were moving I turned and looked up when I saw the second rocket hitting the same building."

The missile used in this attack is usually launched to shoot down planes.

"If they are used against ground targets, they are very inaccurate. And of course, if they are used against ground targets in densely populated urban centers, it makes things even more dangerous," he stated.
