Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on world leaders to impose more sanctions on Russia to force troops to leave the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, he discussed the issue with French President Emmanuel Macron.
The conversation was announced on Twitter by Zelensky, where he said that they discussed the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which is in the hands of the Russians despite the fact that the technicians are still Ukrainians.
Zelensky said he thanked Macron for "tangible defense assistance" and reiterated his call for increased sanctions on Russia.
"Continuing the dialogue with President Emmanuel Macron. I informed him about the situation at the front, Russia's nuclear terrorism in ZNPP. Thank you for France's tangible defense assistance. We discussed macro-financial assistance and food security challenges. We must increase sanctions against Russia," Zelensky wrote.
