New details have emerged about the sudden death of Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, who died suddenly two days ago amid claims he was in secret contact with the West about the war in Ukraine.

The extraordinary new reports indicate that the veteran diplomat and former spy died of a poisoning in the Kremlin.

A video on a Belarus military cargo plane last week, about a week before his sudden death, shows that Makei, 64, was healthy and suffering from no chronic illness.

Some reports say he had a heart attack and that his death has 'shocked' President Alexander Lukashenko, who already fears for his safety.
