Written by SOT.COM.AL 22 Mars 2023

The legislative body of the International Criminal Court said on Wednesday that it regrets the "threats" against the tribunal, related to the arrest warrant it issued for the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is reported to have mentioned targeting The Hague with a hypersonic missile in retaliation for the order to Putin, according to Dutch media.
Moscow has said on Monday that it has launched criminal investigations against the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, and several other judges, related to the "illegal" decision to target Putin's arrest for the war in Ukraine, writes REL.
The Presidency of the Assembly of States members of the International Criminal Court - 123 in total - has said that there are "threats against the Court, as well as measures against its prosecutors and judges".
However, this Presidency has "reconfirmed its unwavering support for the International Criminal Court".
On March 17, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin, on suspicion of illegal deportation of Ukrainian children - which constitutes a war crime.
