The Transparency Board has challenged the Albanians and the government, as yesterday it increased oil and gasoline for the second time in January, although in the stock market and in the countries of the region, fuel prices are very cheap, these statistics should be reflected in the market interior in Albania. The new prices set by the Transparency Board for oil, gasoline and gas were published yesterday. Thus, starting from yesterday at 18:00, oil will cost 2 lek more, so from 208 lek it will be sold at 210 lek per liter. The price of gasoline has also increased. From 189 lek that was before, it will be sold at 192 lek per liter. Only the price of gas has decreased, which will be sold at 69 Lek per liter, from 71 Lek that was before. So, despite the fact that oil is cheap in the world and in the region, Albanian citizens pay more than them, because fuel prices in Albania are dictated by the oligarchs. "Referring to the data related to the Platts stock exchange dated 24.01.2023, we have price changes from the one determined in the last meeting, specifically it turns out that the price (FOB/MED $ Ton) of Gasoline is 892, +50 from 16.01.2023, $/Ton, while the price of Gasoil/Diesel is 978, +41 from 16.01.2023, $/Ton. The BSH exchange rate has slightly decreased to 107.56 (-0.43 from 16.01.2023). As a result, the established prices are: The retail price of the gasoil by-product of the SSH EN 590 standard should not be more than 210 ALL/liter, while the wholesale price should not be more than 198 ALL/liter. The retail price of the SSH EN standard gasoline by-product should be no more than ALL 192/liter, while the wholesale price no more than ALL 180/liter. The retail price of the gas by-product should be 69 ALL/liter retail and 57 ALL/liter wholesale for vehicles. The price of diesel for fishing is set at 116 ALL/liter", the Board announces. The prices set by the Board will come into force on January 25, at 18.00, and will be valid until the next meeting of the Board where the changes in the sales prices will be reflected. The transparency board says that for the setting of prices that in its creation it has strictly followed in its decisions the movement of the Platts exchange of the Mediterranean for diesel, gasoline, as well as the official invoices of the operators.
