Yesterday, the Minister of Finance and Economy, Ervin Mete led the meeting of the Administrative Council of the Institute of Social Insurance, where the decision was approved for the indexation of all categories of pensions covered by the Institute of Social Insurance, according to the legislation in force. The Consumer Price Index of the basket of goods and services for pensioners, calculated by INSTAT, resulted in 8.6%. The decision will go to the Council of Ministers for approval and it is predicted that from October 1, 2023, over 767 thousand beneficiaries of all categories of pensions will be paid indexed with this percentage. Even the social pension, which is benefited by Albanian residents over the age of 70, who have no income, will increase by the same percentage. This measure will benefit 2,499 people nationwide. Indexation of pensions

In the meantime, we remind you that from next month pensioners in the city will receive an average of 1,500 ALL more, while those in the countryside will receive less than 900 ALL. From 17 thousand 350 lek currently, what an elderly person living in the city receives every month will become 18 thousand 842 lek. Nearly 1 thousand 400 lek more will also be received by the beneficiaries of the disability pension in urban areas. while those who are treated with family pension will benefit about 700 lek more. Meanwhile, the monthly payment received by an elderly person in the village, after indexation by 8.6 percent, will become 11 thousand 239 ALL from the current 10 thousand 239 ALL. From October 1st, disability pension beneficiaries who live in the village will receive 712 ALL more, while those who are treated with family pension will benefit about 190 ALL more. From the increase of 8. 6 percent will benefit about 687 thousand citizens, 585 thousand 809 in urban areas and 101 thousand 114 in rural areas. For the last time, pensions in the country were indexed at the rate of 6 percent in October of last year.

Nga ana tjetër, pak ditë më parë deputeti i Partisë Socialiste Erion Braçe duke marrë fjalën në Kuvend tha se, që nga 1 tetori, e gjithë masa e pensionistëve në Shqipëri do të marrë rritje të pensionit me 8.6 %. Ai theksoi se, kjo rritje mbulon plotësisht normën e rritjen së inflacionit dhe se do të sjellë për 3 muajt në vijim 3.2 milionë lekë plus për pensionistët.“Nga 1 tetori, e gjithë masa e pensionistëve në Shqipëri do të marrë rritje të pensionit me 8.6 %.Rritja me 8.6 % mbulon plotësisht normën e rritjes së inflacionit për pensionistët. Për pak ditë kjo do të jetë efektive dhe do të sjellë për 3 muajt në vijim në buxhetet e pensionistëve 3.2 milionë lekë plus, ose 32 milionë USD. Kjo rritje për vitin e ardhshëm do të transferojë tek pensionistët 121 milionë USD, duke i shtuar këtu edhe faturën e bonusit të pensionistit, që qeveria ka adresuar për ta, në muajin dhjetor. Kjo është fatura e plotë”, deklaroi Braçe.
