The Council of Ministers has approved the decision to reward pensioners and other persons who benefit from financial treatments with the year-end bonus, in the amount of 5 thousand ALL, with a total fund of 3.5 billion ALL. The news was confirmed by the Minister of Finance, Ervin Mete at the weekend, where he said that the end-of-year bonus will be distributed together with the monthly pensions during the month of December by the Social Security Institute. The prize can be withdrawn by the beneficiaries even after the end of the year holidays. This is the second bonus given this year, after the one granted in April, which will benefit about 700,000 pensioners, as well as other categories that benefit from financial treatments. Meanwhile, a few days ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama, from Vlora, said that pensioners will receive their holiday bonus in a few days. In his speech during the extended assembly of the Socialist Party in Vlora, he stated that 33% of the total budget expenditures in 2024 are for social care, as he announced that the pensioner's bonus this year will begin to be distributed within a few days.
