Record vacations with staggering numbers, the rich sector where Albania 'harvests' every year with the highest source of income is revealed

Foreign tourists are considered as the highest source of 'harvesting' of income that chose Albania as a holiday destination.

In 2022, foreigners spent 2.8 billion euros here, while about 1.8 billion euros came out of our country. With the difference of 1 billion euros, our country set a historical record in the income collected from tourists.

For several years, Albania has become a popular country, investing in hotels and other service and entertainment activities.

Investment, prices and advertising abroad have increased flows from abroad, and in addition to neighbors from Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia, increased flows are also being seen from Eastern Europe, the Nordic countries and the Middle East.

INSTAT data show that in 2022 the arrivals of foreigners reached a record of 7.5 million citizens, with an increase of about 35% compared to 2021.

In addition to beaches and mountain tourism, last year Albania also attracted visitors with sports activities such as the Conference Leage final with the Roma-Fejnord match and several music festivals in Tirana, Dhërmi, Shengjin and Kavajë.

On the other hand, the Albanians who have gone abroad have had better opportunities and offers, from the travel lines to the offers of the hotels where they have booked. Easing restrictions from the pandemic was an added reason for these trips.
