The Council of Ministers has decided to increase the effective diets of the police, who serve away from their place of residence, temporarily or permanently. According to the decision, which came into force on July 1, the employee of the State Police, when appointed, is transferred permanently or temporarily out of his place of residence, receives payment for travel compensation. Thus, referring to the decision, police officers traveling from 36 km to 60 km, will benefit in the amount of 10 000 ALL per month; while previously they benefited only 3,000 ALL per month, while those who travel 61 km to 100 km, in the amount of 15,000 ALL per month; while previously they benefited 5,000 ALL per month. “Some changes in the decision no. 256, dated 25.3.2015, of the council of ministers, "On compensation for deprivations and losses caused to state police officers, due to work and service needs". Pursuant to Article 100 of the Constitution and points 1, letters "b" and "ç", e 2, Article 67, of Law no. 108/2014, "On the State Police", as amended, on the proposal of the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Council of Ministers, DECIDED: In the decision no. 256, dated 25.3.2015, of the Council of Ministers, the following changes are made: Point 1 is amended, as follows: “1. The employee of the State Police, when appointed, is transferred permanently or temporarily outside his place of residence, receives a payment for travel compensation, as follows: From 36 km to 60 km, in the amount of 10 000 ALL per month; From 61 km to 100 km, in the amount of 15,000 ALL per month; From 101 km to 150 km, in the amount of 20,000 ALL per month; From 150 km to 200 km, in the amount of 25,000 ALL per month; Over 200 km, in the amount of 30,000 ALL per month ", it is stated in the decision.

Elite athletes will receive the rank of "colonel" and are paid as such

On the other hand, the elite athletes of Albania will be considered as part of the Armed Forces and will even have the appropriate rank and financial reward. In this way, the problem of financial treatment of athletes, who will already receive a salary as military, is solved. The proposed amendments to the law "On military career in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania", enable the creation of a structure where they will be engaged / deployed.

"These changes serve to recognize the contribution of athletes in promoting and elevating the name of our country in the international arena through their performance, as well as in improving the career management of active military in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania." in the report of the initiative that is in the process of consultation. The high-level athlete is awarded honorary ranks by order of the Minister of Defense, on the proposal of the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces.
