Spiro Duni is an Albanian actor and director, he was born on October 4, 1957 and today he celebrates his 65th birthday. He was born in the village of Dhermi in the district of Vlore, on October 21. He completed his higher studies at the Higher Institute of Arts*, drama branch, in 1983, and in the same year he started working as a director at the "Skampa" theater in Elbasan, until 1992. In 1991, he went with a specialization in directing at " Teatro Nacionale di Roma" in Italy, and a year later in Greece near Mega Channel.

In 1992-2002, he immigrated to the USA and after returning to Albania he founded Studio Teater "PO". In the 80s, she was one of the young directors who fought for her own creative space and individuality, putting on the stage of the Elbasan Theater several pieces with a clear directorial concept. This was especially evident in the free treatment of the comedy Turneu (1987) by Pirro Mani*, where the wealth of humorous findings, as well as the use of the comic situation, stood out; continued with a psychological treatment of the drama Neperka (Little Foxes) by Liljan Helmani in 1989, where he delved into the depths and scary secrets of the characters; he reached a well-deserved artistic point by appearing on the stage of Pellumb Kulles*'s comedy, How many dry leaves that autumn (1989), with which he also won the First Prize at the Festival of Theaters in Tirana.

Pas kthimit ne Shqiperi, S. Duni u terhoq me shume drejt gjedheve te komikes. Shpeshhere elementet e burleskut, te groteskut dhe ato argetuese mesojne te krijojne ne shfaqjet e tij nje lidhje te drejtperdrejte me publikun e gjere. Kjo u vu re ne shfaqjet: S’ka te ngopur (2003), nje pershtatje nga vepra e komediografit grek Dh. Psathait, dhe Burri i gruas sime (2004), komedi e Miro Gavran, me Estraden e Sarandes.

Perpos qasjeve te tilla, ne gjakimet e tij regjisoriale ka zene vend edhe synimi per t’u dhene pjeseve nje theks bashkekohesie, me gjetje dhe nje gjuhe te tipit modernist, sikunder u pa kjo ne shfaqjen e komedise se Viktor Eftimiut* Njeriu qe pa vdekjen me sy ne Teatrin Kombetar* te Kosoves (2003), me Enver Petrovcin* ne rolin e Eliodor Pakut. Ketu, figura e vagabondit u konceptua ne fund te komedise si shembelltyra e Sharlotit te Carli Caplinit, paradigma e bredharakut te perjetshem ne kerkim te vetvetes, aventures dhe nje fati me te mire.

Ne po kete stil vijoi ai edhe me rivenien e kesaj komedie ne teatrin “Skampa”*, 2007, ku Robert Ndrenika* luajti serish pas 45 vjeteve rolin e Filimonit. Kurse shfaqja Tri shaka te Cehovit (2002) me “Studio teater “PO””, e cila permblodhi komedite e shkurtra Fejesa, Martesa dhe Ariu, u ringrit mbi nje strukture mentale bashkekohore, duke u rrekur te respektoje vepren ne vetvete si filozofi, mesazh dhe stil, nga njera ane, por edhe duke ngulmuar ne ndjesite e kohes me rishenjezimet e dobishme, qe i pergjigjeshin publikut shqiptar, nga ana tjeter.

The play Cat in the Hot Catine by Tennessee Williams at the National Theater* (2005) and especially the anti-drama Towards the West (2006) by Albri Brahushes* presented new parts of S. Dun's artistic profile. He made it possible to create parallels between a family education and a rude behavior, which ultimately brings tragic consequences, with the performance of the drama Whistling in the Dark by Tom Murphy (2008); an Irish subject, but very convertible for intelligence, typology and violent attitudes encountered in Albanian society. S. Duni has acted as an actor in several films, such as: The stones of my house (Leka), The train leaves at 7 pa 5 (Adi), The colors of age (Nesti).
