Great loss/ Cinematography in mourning, the world-famous actor passes away

Italian actor and director Ivano Marescotti died today at the age of 77, due to a serious illness, according to "La Repubblica".

During his career, Marescotti collaborated with famous names such as Checco Zalone, Roberto Benigni, Marco Risi, Daniele Luchetti, Carlo Mazzacurati, Ridley Scott, Anthony Minghella and Gabriele Muccino.

He had a long career with dozens of awards and nominations.

Among the most recent films includes "Bar Giuseppe" directed by Giulio Base.

A year ago Marescotti retired from the stage to devote himself to the "Teatro Accademia Marescotti" school, where he offered acting lessons.

Born in 1946 in Bagnacavallo, Marescotti played various characters in films such as "Johnny Stecchino", "Cado dalle nubi", "Jack Frusciante è uscito dal gruppo", "A casa tutti bene" etc.
