The world-famous actress, Lisa Loring, has passed away at the age of 64, best known for the role of Wednesday Addams in the first screen adaptation of "The Addams Family". The 64-year-old actress died after a stroke.

"Loring, 64, was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who died surrounded by her family," her daughter said.

A friend of the actress wrote on Facebook that Loring had "suffered a stroke caused by smoking and high blood pressure" and had been on life support for three days before her family decided to die. they took it away.

Loring played Wednesday Addams from 1964 to 1966 in the first adaptation of Charles Addams cartoons in New York, when she was only five years old.

Her performance as the Addams girl, with her gothic outfit and classic braids, resonated, inspiring the characters that came later. A recent Netflix adaptation starring Jenna Ortega sparked a viral comeback of Loring's videos. Loring's moves were part of Ortega's iconic dance on the viral Netflix series. The actress was born in the Marshall Islands in 1958, later moved to Hawaii and then Los Angeles with her mother.

She began modeling when she was three years old and landed her first television role soon after, in the drama Dr. Kildare.

Loring is survived by her two daughters, Marianne and Vanessa, as well as her grandchildren, Emiliana and Charles.
