The commission for the title "Poet Laureate" has selected 10 candidates for the two-year period 2023-2025. The director of KKLL Alda Bardhyli, together with Sibel Halimi, the chairperson of the "Poet Laureate 2" committee and the member of the committee Arlinda Dudaj, shared information on the process of choosing the "Poet Laureate", before the committee decided on the 10 candidates for the "Poet Laureate" 2023-2025. KKLL states that the values ??of good poetry and the purity of the image will be the two principles on which the commission will judge the following 10 candidates, for the second Albanian Poet Laureate. "We are living in a time when artificial intelligence is replacing humans, perhaps transforming the latter into a machine that knows only virtual illusion, far from reality, spirituality. In this new social and cultural order, literature is the only salvation. "Poet Laureate" will serve not only as a promoter of poetry as a literary genre, but also as a bridge connecting literature with the new generations", says the KKLL.
