The document in question was found by the well-known researcher Gjon Keka in the archive of Vienna. Inside this document he writes the following: "Bishop Raymond of Gap, Romanus of Croja (Crua), Waldebrun of Avlona (Vlora) and Glavinica (Glavenica),... grant indulgences to the Chapel of St. Peter, Paul and Nicholas in Gerolding...“This document bears the date 14.03.1287, at the end of it bears the relevant seals and is found in the Vienna Archives, the document number and other data are kept by the researcher Gjon Keka in his personal archive , for the reason that the document is not appropriated by anyone without the copyright that found it and the public and of course the place where it was found. As is known, the Franciscans appear in Shkodër in 1288, which means that with the issuance of this document, the Franciscans may have settled in Arbëri even earlier, as seen in this document from 1287, which shows that there were friars serving in Krujë. Never forgetting that our poet and national patriot Gjergj Fishta was part of this rule, that is, of the Franciscans in Arbëri.
