National Center of Cinematography, invited the Albanian film houses to present their works for consideration, as the Albanian candidacy, in the "International Feature Film" category, for the 96th edition of the "Oscar" awards, which will be awarded by The Academy of Motion. Picture Arts and Sciences on March 10, 2024, while announcing the main criteria for participation in this category. "In this category, feature films, documentaries and cartoons can participate. 1. The film must be over 40 minutes long. 2. The film must have premiered in Albania no earlier than December 1, 2022 and no later than October 31, 2023. 3. The film must have been shown or will be shown commercially in cinemas, in Albania, within the above dates, for at least 7 consecutive days. 4. The film must contain at least 50 percent dialogue in the Albanian language. 5. The film must have been made with at least 50 percent Albanian actors and staff", says the official announcement of the National Center of Cinematography. The deadline for materials to be sent by the selected film producer to the AMPAS offices is 5:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2023.
