An information center for all the mosaics of Albania is being set up in the area known as the Mosaic of Tirana. Works have been taking place in this area for some time, which were also inspected by the Minister of Culture Elva Margariti. Minister Margariti says that day by day the newest center dedicated to cultural heritage is coming to life. "In the area known as the Mosaic of Tirana, an information center for all the mosaics of Albania is being built, with exhibition spaces, workshops and education. This work not only brings to light the traces of the city's history, but re-dimensions the entire surrounding area, in the service of cultural tourism and the community", says Margariti on social networks, where he also shared a video of the works being carried out in this area. The works in this area started some time ago, but the Minister of Culture Margariti says that they are nearing completion. According to the Minister of Culture, Tirana will have another cultural pole. "If until today that area was known for the Mosaic of Tirana, very soon it will be visited for one of the centers dedicated to the cultural heritage, history and exhibition of Albanian mosaics. The mosaic of Tirana as an archaeological monument

In August 2021, archaeological excavations resumed at the Mosaic of Tirana. Excavations in this area were carried out by the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, the Regional Heritage Directorate of Tirana and the University of Tirana. According to the Ministry of Culture, the most recent interventions on the Tirana Mosaic were carried out in 2006-2008, by Professor Skënder Muçaj. The Mosaic of Tirana is the only archaeological monument within the territory of the city of Tirana. In 1972, during the construction of the "Partizani" block of flats in neighborhood no. 9 of the city of Tirana, the ruins of an ancient building were discovered, one of whose premises was paved with mosaics. According to the authors, we are dealing with a rural center of the first centuries after Christ from the beginning of the century. III was replaced by a rustic villa (rustica). The mosaic-equipped hall with an apse was its main environment. The authors think that in the century V-VI site of the villa was occupied by a Paleo-Christian basilica. The excavated part of the monument was surrounded and protected by the Institute of Cultural Monuments (IMK). During the years 2003-2004, the works of arranging roads and various installations of the "Partizani" block revealed other parts of the complex near the perimeter of the monument.
