Meghan Markle's first message of love to Prince Harry was...

Harry stated in his new book that he first met Meghan on Instagram, which is a fairly common way for a member of the royal family to meet their future spouse. He claimed that while browsing his news feed, he found Meghan's profile when he came across a photo of her with a dog-eared filter.

Harry's friend Violet had shared the photo, prompting him to immediately text her to ask about the identity of the enigmatic woman in the photo. He was the seventh man to ask the same question, returned Violet. His friend then continued, saying Meghan was an actress visiting the UK to watch Wimbledon tennis. When she asked if he would mind sharing his Instagram username, he said yes.

The following day, Meghan sent the prince the following message:

Hello! nice pictures!

Harry claimed in the book that most of his Instagram photos were taken while he was traveling in Africa, which provided him with conversation material since Meghan had also been in the region. Meghan revealed during the couple's documentary that a photo of Harry caring for an injured rhino really stuck in her mind. She stated that instead of reading online news articles about Harry, looking at his Instagram was a better approach to gauge his character. And the rest, as they say, is history.
