International Day of Peace or Prayer for Peace

In the annual calendar of the United Nations, September 21 is very special, because it is celebrated as the International Day of Peace or the World Day of Prayer for Peace. In the time that we are living and experiencing, only wars, conflicts and armed conflicts are seen and noticed around the world, in the largest parts of the globe. Through the international news, in the world media you see only blood and a lot of blood, which is spilled and wasted to satisfy the whims and interests of a small handful of people who want to rule over the majority. Too bad! Most of the people have turned into meskies and human robots, who seem to be programmed to carry out certain programs and forget to carry out their God-ordained duties. And they are: They forgive you and give you love! Help each other, when they are in need! To reach out to the other, to give and receive forgiveness! We love you and attach great importance to our family! Let's not abandon our close people and leave them at the mercy of fate! Therefore, on September 21 of the distant year 1981, the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) made a strong world declaration: "This day should be officially named and celebrated as the International Day of Peace and should be used to respect and strengthen the idea of peace both within countries and peoples, as well as between them." The UN emphasized that on this day there should be no wars and only cease-fires. On that day, love and not violence should prevail among people (Why should there not be peace throughout the years? Why should not love and harmony rule everywhere in the world?). But every day we hear and read violence and violence only violence, violence, war to destroy and destroy each other. This day was decided after an extensive campaign organized by the British director Jeremy Gilley and his movement Peace One Day to make one day a year the day of the world ceasefire. Therefore, the UN General Assembly decided unanimously, that all its member countries should celebrate worldwide on the same day every year on September 21 the Day of Peace. Also, since 2004, the World Council of Churches (WCC) has called on all churches around the world to make September 21 the International Day of Prayer for Peace, "as a way to express the witness of churches and religious communities for the many forces of the global movement. for peace and justice." But the bad thing is, that everyone talks about peace, but everyone knows, that there can be no peace, if hatred and malice and envy grow in the souls and hearts of people. But as the great Mustafa Qemal Ataturk said, when there is peace at home, there is peace in the world!
