The head of the official Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, at the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the founding of this political force, among other things, said that the PD belongs to Albania.

" I know that today many citizens ask: WHO IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY?

The Democratic Party is the party of the Albanian society,

It is the party of Euro-Atlantic values, it is the party of pluralist Albania, it is the party of the European Albanian youth, " said Basha.

He added that the Democratic Party has not completed its mission and that this is the end of the 30-year theater of transition.

Basha has also extended his hand to the democrats to come to DP and give their contribution.

I know that in this anniversary we are not where we would like to be!

I know that in this anniversary we don't have everyone by our side!

I know that on this anniversary many of the people who worked and contributed to the party are not here with us.

I know that on this anniversary we have been disappointed by many for whom we have only given these years.

I know that on this anniversary, a part of us still walks the streets, blinded by personal interest, afraid of the judgment of history, afraid of the hand of justice!

I know that today many citizens ask: WHO IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY?

The Democratic Party is the party of the Albanian society,

It is the party of Euro-Atlantic values, it is the party of pluralist Albania, it is the party of European Albanian youth.

On this marked date of the founding anniversary,

The weight of the events we have experienced has left a mark on us!

Events with great loads and challenges for everyone here,

But in the scale of time they are only a moment;

Just a moment in our 33-year history as a democrat

Just a moment in our 33-year history as free people,

Just a moment in our 33-year history as pro-Western

just a moment in our hundred-year history as patriotic Albanians that we do not place anything and no one on Albania!

YES, we have made our choice:

SO TODAY, ON ITS 33rd ANNIVERSARY, WE DECLARE WITH HEADS UP FOR EVERYONE WHO ASKS: WHO IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY?

The Democratic Party IS ALBANIAN!!

Everything we do as a political party, every objective we set for ourselves, every goal we want to achieve: it is for Albania and for the Albanians. It is for the good of them and their families!

Today we tell the Albanians that we are finishing our program to free and strengthen our economy to give you more opportunities for employment

to increase your personal and family well-being

to create conditions to keep our talented youth here!

These are not big promises: these are OUR CONCRETE PLANS!

WE WANT YOU TO MAKE THEM REALITIES FOR YOU!

WE KNOW VERY WELL HOW THEY BECOME A REALITY!

In these 33 years, we have achieved a lot but we have also made many mistakes.

We have done a lot, but we have also learned a lot!

The logo and signature of our party are carried over the events of importance for Albania:

It maintains membership in NATO, from which all of you fellow citizens feel safer today

It maintains free movement without visas anywhere in Europe, a dream come true for millions of Albanians

They maintain large infrastructure projects across the country, which you, dear citizens, use every day.

Today, on the 33rd anniversary of our establishment, we must say without hesitation that the Democratic Party of Albania in these 33 years did not fulfill its duty towards the owners,

did not fulfill her duty to the persecuted,

did not fulfill its task for the evaluation of historical contributions.

Therefore, many of them, who are probably also in this hall, have rightly felt trampled on, they have felt offended, they have felt betrayed in their causes for which this party was formed.

In my name, in the name of all its members, today I have a call for all those who have left the Democratic Party in these 33 years:

For all those founding contributors and every person who feels the Albanian right is his political family, who for various reasons in these years have not felt at home, join the Democratic Party of Albania,

Come and give your valued contribution as you did in the first years of pluralism and in these 33 years.

The Democratic Party of Albania is the party of its founders,

it is the party of the December students, it is the party of the persecuted and of the owners, it is the party of free people, it is the party of Euro-Atlantic values, it is the party of the national interest of the Albanians. The democratic party is your family, we welcome you all!
