Gazment Bardhi, chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group, commented on the tensions during the meeting of the presidency on Tuesday evening. He said that some of his colleagues were stopped at the exit of the party offices by a group of people. Among them, he said that he had managed to identify a former director of the Municipality of Tirana.

"I want to explain that there were some false news, in the part of the ladies and gentlemen who were outside the meeting, there were also heads of branches, and none of them, as each of my colleagues reported to me, exercised any verbal violence against the deputies or members of the presidency.

There was no physical violence, but only insults and insults to impose his attitude. There was a small group of individuals, whom I do not know, among them I have identified only one former director in the Municipality of Tirana, but I do not know the others, but I want to clarify that there was a small group from this group that it was in the lobby of the headquarters that they used verbal violence, blackmail, but even threats.

The decision approved by the Presidency for the election of the new chairman by July 29, which was defended by Basha's group, is, according to him, anti-statutory and cannot be implemented.

"First of all, it is an anti-statutory process, because who enjoys the right to vote is determined by the party's statute, and if a member has changed parties, that is the claim that at this moment there is a movement of membership within the DP, it is the heads of the branches that that meet to take disciplinary measures. This cannot be the subject will of an individual.
