Is that the politician named Taulant? Moderator Erla Mëhilli asked this direct question to the head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, regarding Ardian Çapje's testimony in the courtroom.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Balla stated from Brussels that there is no truth in this story.
He said that as soon as he returns to Tirana, he will face the slanderers and sign the criminal charges.
Excerpt from the interview:
Erla Mëhilli: Public opinion here in Albania has been simmering for several days about an issue that you have not spoken about. The opposition has also accused you, the media have written. Let me ask you.
Taulant Balla: As soon as I'm in Tirana, I'm ready to deal with the next father.
Erla Mehilli: Why the next Babalen? Are the accusations of the opposition or is there something true?
Taulant Balla: There is nothing real.
Erla Mehilli: There is no truth?
Taulant Balla: Nothing.
Erla Mëhilli: Aren't you the politician with Emin Taulant mentioned in the wiretaps, about whom public opinion is seething?
Taulant Balla: I don't know how you measure the boiling of public opinion, however, as soon as I'm in Tirana and I'm in the parliament, to have the slanderers in front of me, and then justice will deal with this issue. Because the criminal charges are being prepared and I will sign them as soon as I return.
Erla Mëhilli: So you will file criminal charges against the opposition for the accusations they made against you?
Taulant Balla: Definitely.
Erla Mëhilli: But it is not only the opposition that accuses you, there are also other individuals in the courtroom who have mentioned it (Refers to Ardjan Capjas).
Taulant Balla: Please, don't waste the honorable minutes of the interview on issues related to Europe on fathers.
Erla Mëhilli: This is an important issue that you would do well to clarify, to give your version of the event.
Taulant Balla: Yes, yes. Once in 4 years, I have such an attack.
