Has the United Kingdom announced a list of nongrads after Berisha? Here's how Ambassador Alastair King Smith answers

The Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Alastair King Smith, during a television interview spoke, among other things, and if there will be another list of "non grata" persons and ensures that the British state is determined to deny entry to any politician, official and entrepreneurs who are corrupt or connected to crime.

He says that if this happens it will be London that will make its decisions public.

Question: There is talk these days that there was a new list. How true is this? I know I won't have names, but I'm interested to know if there is a new list after last year's?

Alastair King Smith: We don't comment on speculation or rumours, so I won't be able to respond specifically to that point. These decisions are made by the British Government. Decisions are made in London and announced from London when there are decisions to be announced, but we will not comment until a decision has been made.

Also, the British ambassador answered the question regarding the accusations that Sali Berisha has thrown at him by saying: 

"As you know, we do not comment on individual cases, but I would like to clarify something. Our approach is grounded in a broader context of improving accountability and ending impunity. In this context, we support local actors of justice to be more efficient. It is positive to see greater prosecutions and punishment of people involved in corruption or criminality and we will continue to support and promote these actions here in Albania. We also ensure that as a UK we consider cases where it is not appropriate in the public good, related to individuals involved in corruption and other areas of criminality, by not allowing them to travel to the UK or have assets in the UK.
