The Deputy of the Democratic Party, Saimir Korreshi, has stated that he has no ambition to take over the leadership of this political force.

Korreshi made the comments during an interview for Panorama TV, as he was asked by the journalist, where he jokingly said "in Lushnja, yes".

He added that he is of the opinion that the ladders in politics should be climbed gradually, from the lowest ones, to go to leadership positions.

"We must sit together, produce leadership that gathers all factors, produce competition. I think that PD has very good assets, but let's leave it to the structures and people who propose them. I think we should leave it to those groups to reconvene, etc... It would be wrong today to reveal the names", said Korreshi.

Do you have ambitions to take the leadership of the DP?

"In Lushnje, yes, but here in Tirana... I have no ambition to become the chairman of the DP. I think that you enter politics for ambition, but you have to climb the ladder one after the other, you become a Captain, and so on. I don't have this ambition", said Korreshi further.
