Lawyer Arben Llangozi said in an interview for Euronews Albania that the arrest of Arben Ahmetaj is a matter of days. According to him, referring to the 4 charges against him, the former deputy prime minister risks being sentenced to at least 15 years in prison.
"He is accused of 4 charges. At minimum, according to the criminal code, he should be sentenced to 15 years in prison. And the criminal offense is very serious and the damage caused to the Albanian state, which is not only that he benefited 1 million euros, but the damage to caused to the Albanian state is 400 million euros. Matters of days and the prosecution will request his arrest", said the lawyer.
