Lawyer Gentian Rumano said on the "Review" show, on Euronews Albania, that the way the investigations have continued for former Deputy Prime Minister Ahmetaj is unprofessional.
According to the lawyer, the case for Ahmatej was submitted to the court without the criminal fact being clarified first.
"The judicial decision of the court in the preliminary session decided to take the case to trial even with the claim that we must verify the criminal fact during the judicial examination. This is not legally allowed. The law does not allow it. That is why all this adjustment was made for the code of criminal procedure to clarify this issue at the stage of the preliminary hearing. In the preliminary session, this has happened in many processes, it is a big problem with some prosecutors who present the case to the court without saying who the criminal fact is. This is unprofessional!" said lawyer Gentian Rumano.
