Miftar Dauti, the winner of the local elections in the municipality of Has, from the ranks of the "Foltore"-Liberty Party (We win together) coalition, risks not enjoying the mayor's mandate. This is after the Central Election Commission decided to send its file to the General Prosecutor's Office for in-depth verification. Dauti is suspected of violating the decriminalization law, hiding convictions received in Kosovo and Serbia. If this turns out to be true, he may become the first mayor who may "burn" after these elections. Dauti became known in the media on 2 occasions. Before the May 14 local elections, he clashed with the son of rival SP candidate Beqir Mulaj after he caught him delivering food in a van. Dauti's electoral staff insisted that the socialists were trying to buy votes in favor of Beqir Mulaj. The latter justified himself by saying that his son happened to be in that place by chance. On April 19, he clashed with Mulaj's daughter, Entiola Mulaj, who works as a Supervisor at the DSO Office in Has. He filmed Mulaj checking the road works. Dauti accused the 28-year-old that the local government led by socialists was fixing the roads on the eve of the elections, in order to win the municipality again. Mulaj had a conflict with Daut and then reported him to the police. "Do you have a daughter, do you have a wife? I am working and I will serve the people, if you have morals, I don't know your name. To be ashamed, that's not what a good man is! Get in the car, you should be ashamed of what you are doing", replied Entiola Mulaj with Miftar Daut. The latter was criminally prosecuted with SD, 43 years old and FD, 52 years old, from the daughter of his rival Beqir Mulaj and the electrician of Kruma IA for the criminal offenses "Intimidation" and "Opposition to an employee performing a state duty or a public service". In the local elections of May 14, Dauti managed to win the Municipality of Has, with 4422 votes, while his rival from the Socialist Party, Beqir Mulaj, received 3488 votes.
