The President of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, received the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, in the Presidency of the Assembly. Nikolla congratulated Kurt for the good work that the Government of Kosovo is doing, as well as patience, calmness, prudence and courageous attitudes in cooperation with the EU and the USA for the Euro-Atlantic future of Kosovo.
"The Assembly encourages and supports the excellent cooperation between Albania and Kosovo in all fields and we support the decisions of the Government of Kosovo, as decisions of a democratically elected government and of a sovereign and independent state. The intensive cooperation between the Assembly of Albania and the Assembly of Kosovo is in its best days. We support the Euro-Atlantic perspective of Kosovo and continue to lobby for new international recognitions, membership in the Council of Europe, the UN and international organizations. We support the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia as the best and only way towards mutual recognition between the two countries, we appreciate the European Plan as a good starting point for the dialogue and we support the commitment of the EU and the USA in the implementation of the annex of this Plan .
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Nikola for the institutional support of bilateral cooperation. Kurti pointed out the obvious progress in economic development, the consolidation of democratic institutions and the European integration process of Kosovo and underlined that the economy, democracy and integration are progressing in a complementary way, while simultaneously respecting human and minority rights.
Prime Minister Kurti pointed out the determination of the Government and institutions of Kosovo to advance the dialogue with Serbia and the implementation of the European Plan, respecting the Constitution of Kosovo and cooperating closely with the EU and the USA.
