The majority invited them for cooperation, Salianji was firm: DP will not become

Democrats still reserve a negative response to the majority's invitation to join the parliamentary disinformation and anti-corruption commissions. The vice president of the democratic parliamentary group, Ervin Salianji, said in a television interview that, with these initiatives, the majority seeks to extend control over the institutions.

"First of all, the SP does not reach out unless it is to steal something, and this is the case where the SP is asking, through the creation of commissions, in the other case to limit the freedom of expression on portals or critical media, and in one case to limit the the rights related to the exercise of the constitutional rights of independent bodies", said Salianji.

As for the issue of the mandate of the President of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha, who has been under house arrest since December 30, Salianji excludes any possibility that the assembly will burn his mandate.

"Mr. Berisha's conditions are not in the conditions provided by the Constitution for the end of the mandate. Mr. Berisha has not been absent from the Assembly without reason for 6 months. His freedom has been limited with a decision-making, in my opinion unfair", he emphasized.

According to Salianji, if the majority undertakes such an "unconstitutional" act, it would lead to an extreme clash between Berisha's voters and his political opponents.
