"The DP needs a new leadership", Dashamir Shehi shows the way of the return of the opposition to power: Berisha and Basha have completed their cycle

The head of the LZHK, Dashamir Shehi, says that it is entirely possible that the opposition will return to power and regain the trust of the citizens. But to achieve this, the opposition must change - says Mr. Shehi in an interview for the show "Pa Censurë".

"We as the opposition must propose a different Albania to the Albanians. How we succeed is another matter. But leadership must be changed to build trust. Within PD there are plenty of boys and girls who must be tested. Berisha and Basha have closed the cycle in 2021. If they stay there, they will damage the opposition even more," said the head of the LZHK, who differs from many politicians for the direct language he uses. Dashamir Shehi has several political theses, which he believes change the political climate in Albania for the better and which should be carried forward by the opposition.

"The opposition needs to unite around some political theses, not certain people" - says Dashamir Shehi, who also explained the 4 political theses. "The change of the electoral law in the national proportional with open lists. 2. Amendment of the law on the map of territorial division of municipalities. 3. Guaranteeing the vote of immigrants. 4 Redeemation of the relationship between the prime minister and the president, since the prime minister cannot have everything.

When asked if some of these theses are similar to Lulzim Basha's proposals, Dashamir Shehi puts modesty aside.

"Mr. Basha took them from me. Because I've been telling him for 10 years. He doesn't say it as beautifully as I do. It makes me happy that my theses are embraced by others. Even the law on referendums, which Basha talks about, is in the parliament. There is no need for Basha's word in this matter. If we continue the fight of who are you and who am I, we will go down to Edi Rama's field and there he is at an advantage," said Mr. Shehi, who sees wrong and to the detriment of DP and the opposition, the return of Lulzim Basha to the head of the official DP.

During the interview in his opinion, he sees the return of Basha as a wrong decision, as he argues that the opposition needs a new leadership.

"The return of Basha is wrong. The rush to make an election as soon as possible in July is equally misguided. "- said Mr. Shehi. He believes that with a new opposition leadership, with an end to the quarrels within the DP, even by creating 2 parties and implementing political ideas for communication with the people, the opposition will defeat Edi Rama.

Diferenca është plotësisht e rikuperueshme, nëse shqiptarët shohim një format ndryshe të opozitës, duke lënë mënjanë sherrët e vjetra. Duhet të rindërtojmë dhe një raport me komunitetin ndërkombëtar. Ne me sherret tona ia bëmë peshqesh Edi Ramës Perëndimin. Kjo duhet ndryshuar. Nuk mund t’i dalim ne përballë Perëndimit. Kush nuk e kupton këtë, bën rolin e budallait.”- tha Dashamir Shehi për emisionin “Pa Censurë”.
