"Rama, the architect of the criminalization of institutions"/ Gaz Bardhi responds 'flame for flame' to the Prime Minister in the Parliament: It is a regime that inspires corruption at all levels of the government

"Rama, the architect of the criminalization of institutions"/ Gaz

The head of the DP Group, Gazment Bardhi, while the draft resolution of the SP on anti-corruption is being discussed in the Assembly, said that Prime Minister Edi Rama is the architect of the criminalization of institutions.

Gazment Bardhi: The only positive thing I can single out in this government and from this prime minister today, even though it took him more than 4000 days to understand, is his acceptance that we finally needed a special effort, different and determined against the corruption of this government. The fight against widespread corruption that has taken root like never before under the administration of Prime Minister Edi Rama, must be treated by the Assembly as a national priority, because this is a matter of critical importance for the future of Albania:

But such an initiative would be reliable, something positive for the country, it would be serious, only if those who propose it are themselves serious and ready to fight corruption.

The DP Parliamentary Group has supported and strongly supports the fight against corruption, good governance and the rule of law. We are the ones who have fought for this for 11 years, with the most corrupt government of these 34 years, the most corrupt in the European Region.

· We are the ones who have denounced the corrupt affair of the incinerators with facts. Edi Rama defended him.
· We are the ones who have denounced the affair with corrupt contracts in the health sector. Edi Rama defended him.
· We are the ones who have denounced corruption in the Municipality of Tirana. Edi Rama defended him.
· We are the ones who have denounced the corruption in the State Police that brought about the cannabisization of the country. Edi Rama defended him.
· We are the ones fighting for zero tolerance to electoral corruption. Edi Rama is its architect.
· We are the ones who fight against the governance and empowerment of organized crime, as the only possibility that allows good governance and respect for the rule of law. Edi Rama is the architect of the criminalization of institutions, putting the democratic functioning of public institutions at serious risk.

Fighting corruption needs neither words nor resolutions. There is a need for acts, for actions. Edi Rama had 11 years to show us at least one act, one action, that has the will to fight corruption, has the will to govern well, has the will to respect the rule of law.

But unfortunately, like everything else, he considers the fight against corruption to be a matter of propaganda or PR, he fights it with words, while his deeds are completely opposite. And for propaganda and words, Albania has lost 11 years, because Edi Rama says something else, promises something else, and does something completely different.

During the last 11 years, Edi Rama's government has repeatedly demonstrated that it is not the beacon of progress and transparency it claims to be, but rather a regime that inspires and perpetuates corruption at all levels of society. Therefore, as Edi Rama proposes a resolution to fight corruption, we must carefully examine his record and ask if his goals are consistent with the actions and policies that have characterized his mandate.

Since taking office in 2013, Rama has led a government that has been repeatedly accused of corruption, nepotism and misappropriation of public funds. Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index consistently ranks Albania among the most corrupt countries in Europe. Despite this, Rama's government has done little to address these concerns, often taking steps that exacerbate rather than alleviate the problem.

Rama's administration has also been riddled with scandals involving PPPs and government concessions. These agreements, often covered with "Secret", are agreements with a lack of transparency and for the benefit of a narrow circle of businesses with close ties to the government.
