The former commanding chairman of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj, has reacted for the first time regarding the tensions after the meeting of the Presidency, on Tuesday evening.
In the outer premises of the Assembly, Alibeaj told the journalists that there was no violence against the members of the Presidency.
Alibeaj underlined that the meeting was accompanied by strong debates, as he described the reaction of the General Secretary, Gazment Bardhi, as an emotional attitude.
"The different model is to certainly respect the freedom of expression of every person. Who so? I said, what more can I say, distance. The Democratic Party is the base, it is the people. Don't get emotional. To some extent, yes. At the meeting, none of the members of the Presidency were under pressure.
I was in the meeting, none of them were under pressure. They had different attitudes. You may perceive it that way, but it is not. The heads of the branches are the PD, they are the people who were here on January 8 in defense of all the deputies, without exception. There was no violence except that there were words", he emphasized.
