Democratic deputy Lefter Gështenja described as shameful what happened after the meeting of the leadership of the DP, where some people verbally clashed with the deputies. In a speech to the media in front of the Assembly, he said that this has not happened in 30 years of democracy.
"Today, after 31 years, it is abnormal for a party like DP to be created on stage or an unprecedented moment. Each of us should respect his own opinion. Everything there is recorded and I would like the audio of the meeting to be made public because it serves the democrats and Albanians to show who has been constructive and destructive in this process.
Hasty and hasty decisions about DP are wrong and I would use the expression that speed kills. I have said my word in the chair. No one should be in a hurry to make decisions in the DP, in the great party that has contributed to democracy in Albania and today, after 32 years, we should behave in this way," he said.
